Hi guys,
You probably know I don't like Version 2 Gearboxes and Hop-ups.
But a couple months ago I realized I had ALMOST all the parts to build an M4 out of spare parts.
So I ordered and traded for a couple extra pieces to finish it off.
However, I have never put together an M4 by myself. So I documented the process.
Luckily it went relatively well. And aside from missing a motor spacer (which I should get soon), the gun shoots great.
It doesnt look perfect. But here's what happened...
1) All the parts I have. Yikes, that's a lot of parts...
2) Ok, lets fit the gearbox in. After a little pushing, i get it in...
3) I add the mag release, gearbox pin, and bolt release...
4) Holy Crap. THAT'S the hopup! How the hell do i do put that together?
5) Phew! After a lot of silicon oil, I get the hopup together, bucking, and inner barrel...
6) I add the outer barrel, and put the hopup into the upper receiver. So far, so good...
7) I add the RIS and silencer to upper receiver. Its a free float barrel system...
8. I add the upper and lower receiver together. Some flip sights. Bolt them. Hey, its looking like a gun finally...
9) This part sucks. Screw the grip in, add the motor, and connect the wires...
10) Nice! Looking good!
11) Crappy folding stock and crappy RIS...
12) Needs something... Oh yeah... C-Mag! Sweet!
Let me know if you have any questions.
